MessageDrift is a platform that helps parents and guardians store and share personal messages that children may discover later in life. Please read this Disclaimer and the related notices carefully, as they describe important legal limitations and responsibilities.
1) General Disclaimer
MessageDrift is provided as a personal memory-sharing and communication service only. We do not provide legal, medical, psychological, counselling, or emergency services. The information and content shared on MessageDrift should never be relied upon for professional, therapeutic, or emergency decision-making.
We do not guarantee the delivery, accuracy, readability, or permanent storage of any message. MessageDrift should not be used for time-sensitive, emergency, or essential communication. In any urgent situation, always contact local emergency services or qualified professionals directly.
2) Platform Use and Limitations
MessageDrift operates on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no representations or warranties regarding continuous availability, data retention, or suitability for a particular purpose. Your use of the platform is entirely at your own risk.
MessageDrift, its owners, and affiliates will not be liable for any loss or damage (including emotional distress, data loss, misdelivery, or technical errors) arising from your use of the platform, the actions of other users, or events beyond our reasonable control.
3) Message Content Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the messages and content they create or share. MessageDrift may moderate, review, or remove content that appears harmful, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate, but we are not responsible for verifying the truth, accuracy, or emotional impact of any message. Moderation decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
4) Third-Party Services
MessageDrift relies on secure third-party providers for hosting, email, SMS, and payment processing (including services such as Stripe and Dropbox). While these services are chosen for reliability and security, we do not control their systems and cannot guarantee their performance or availability. Any use of such third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
5) Data and Technical Limitations
Although we take reasonable measures to protect and back up data, we cannot guarantee that stored messages or account information will always be available or recoverable. You acknowledge that system errors, maintenance, or unforeseen events may result in loss or deletion of data, and you agree not to hold MessageDrift or its operators liable for any resulting loss or damage.
6) Cookie & Tracking Notice
MessageDrift does not currently use cookies or tracking technologies beyond those strictly necessary for account login and platform functionality. If this changes, this notice and the Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
7) Children’s Privacy Notice
MessageDrift may host messages intended for children; however:
- Children under 18 should only access the site under a parent or guardian’s supervision.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe a child’s personal data has been collected without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will remove the information as soon as practicable.
8) No Professional Relationship
Using MessageDrift or communicating with us does not create any professional, therapeutic, fiduciary, or client relationship between you and MessageDrift or its operators.

We may revise this Disclaimer and its notices from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
